Is Rosie A Deep Winter Or A Deep Autumn?

With Rosie’s dark eyes an dark hair, it was easy to see she was a deep. But which one? Deep autumn or deep winter? To me, Rosie was clearly warm. You can see the earthy warm tones in her. Just to be sure, I put her in both deep winter and in deep autumn.

Deep winter is on the left and deep autumn is on the right? Which do you think she is? Yep! Deep Autumn! She looks way out of place as a winter and perfect in deep autumn.

If that is her natural hair colour, then I would suggest that this lady is a warm, rather than a deep, as she has distinctly warm eyes and hair?

      Hi Trisha!

Deep Autumn IS warm. It’s warm and deep. A person’s color type includes their “temperature” plus their depth. So, she is warm with warm undertones and deep due to her deep eyes and hair.

Love your site with all your tips and ideas. I have a question – I am not sure if I am a deep autumn or a deep winter? How do I determine this? What are some things that I can do to figure this out?

    Thanks kelly

      Hi Kelly,

If your eyes and hair are deep, then you’re right… you are either a deep winter or a deep autumn. The biggest indicator will be the colors that you are most attracted to. Deep autumns can wear deep earthy tones like rust, deep reds and warm golden yellows. Olive green is another color specific to a deep autumn. Deep winter’s are of higher contrast and will look much better in jewel tones.
