What Season Am I? Seasonal Color Analysis Quiz

Welcome to my NEW color analysis quiz using my proprietary color system, Your Color Style™! This quiz will take you step by step through a self color analysis to help you discover your perfect colors.

I want you to know that Your Color Style™ is DIFFERENT. This is not seasonal color analysis. It’s better. This system focuses on the colors that will look best on you based on your natural coloring and tone, instead of trying to shoe horn you into a season. I take a different approach in color analysis, and you will quickly discover how easy it is to figure out what colors look best on you.

I’ve put as much information in this quiz as I can to help you figure out your color type on your own, but if you’re still confused… please consider signing up for a professional online color analysis. Please don’t guess. I want to help you prevent expensive mistakes and to help you look amazing. You deserve to look and feel beautiful every single day.

The first step to discovering your best colors in Your Color Style™ system is to decide which color wheel to use.

There are 2 color wheels. A bright, clear chroma color wheel and a soft, muted color wheel. You will only wear colors from one of these color wheels.

Bright Color Wheel - Your Color Style - Jen ThodenSoft Color Wheel - Your Color Style - Jen Thoden

One of the biggest reasons a color doesn’t look right on someone is because of the chroma. Chroma is how clear or muted a color is. Muted colors have grey added to them. Clear colors do not have grey added.

A person, who has clear chroma features, should wear colors from the BRIGHT color wheel. Muted colors will wash her out.

A person, who has soft features, should wear colors from the SOFT color wheel. Bright colors will wear her and makeup will look painted.

So the first question to answer is…

So, let’s get started with your online color analysis…

Step 1: Are you BRIGHT or SOFT?

Bright - Your Color Style - Online Color Analysis Quiz
Can you wear bright clear colors? Do muted or greyed colors drain you? Do you have bright sparkly eyes or bright hair? Can you wear clear bright red lipstick? Is there an intensity about your or brightness to your skin?

What happens when you have neutral undertones to your skin and hair?

    • Reply Jen Thoden June 24, 2016 at 3:39 pm

      Hi Virginia,

Lots of people are not obvious if they are cool or warm. So, neutral is how we categorize it. But you ARE warm or cool, even if you appear neutral. They way that I narrow this down is looking at the eyes. The eyes are a great way to tell me if a person is cool or warm. Soft grey, grey-blue, grey-green eyes, for example, would indicate cool undertones. Typically, a person who has these types of eyes, have neutral hair and skin. If you have golden in your eyes, you are warm. I hope that helps.

Hi Jen….I understand very well about the cool vs warm undertones. I have what I assume as “cool” undertones, due to blue veins. My skin is a very “light” tan coloring. I have a obvious pinkness to my cheeks. My eyes are green with/ yellow specks, which I see by your video as being warm toned. This whole “picture” of myself totally confuses me. I can wear neutral colors very well, as well as some light warm and light pastel colors. What I am thinking is that I am of “neutral” coloring? I do well wearing both cool and light warm colored clothing, but it is the color of my eyes and the cool undertone of my skin that is confusing me the most. I get compliments on the different clothing colors I can wear. Also, pink (not rose) lipstick and blush looks the best. Coral adds no color at all to my makeup. In fact, it looks terrible and clashes with the rest of my make up. If you might have any ideas of my situation, please let me know. Thank you for your video, it was very interesting and I think you should record more. Thank you..Sandra

      Hi Sandra

I would love to do a color analysis on you to really help you. If you’re interested you can sign up here => http://outfitideas4you.com/personal-seasonal-color-analysis/

Based on what you’re describing, I’m not sure the blue veins necessarily means cool undertones. I always find the vein method difficult. Your eyes sound warm but they could be a cool green. This is why an analysis would benefit you. You’re saying coral doesn’t work on you but that’s interesting because summers and springs look great in coral. But I think you’re talking more about coral makeup and if so, then you may be a summer.

The eyes are always helpful to me as an indicator but I still have to look at you as one complete story. You sound like a summer. I hope you consider signing up for the analysis. It would be fun to figure this out.

    Dear Jen,

    help me, please!

I cannot figure out which season I am and that is driving me crazy .

To Begin with, I have dark blonde hair (according to my hairdresser, to me- very light brown it is), with lots of natural blonde highlights (cannot decide however if these are more ash-toned or more golden), my eyes are grey-blue with a section of brown in one of them (I have sectoral heterchromia), my skin is porcelain, I do not blush, however the tip of my nose is often red and so are the circles under my eyes (if that is of any value). The eyebrowes and lashes are one tone darker than the hair. Do not have freckles. Although I have fair complection I always tann to brown- no sunburnt or redness at first.

Thank you in advance, looking forward to hearing from you!

    regards,

    magda
